Samsung's Foldable Phone Codenamed 'Winner' Said to Sport a 7.3-Inch OLED Display

Samsung Up coming Foldable smartphone has been a part of the rumour mill for a long time now. However, recently Samsung's mobile division CEO DJ Koh announced that the long-awaited handset may finally become a reality by November this year.


The report says  that the foldable handset will sport a 7.3-inch OLED display with 1.5R curvature.

The company has plans to introduce a 4.6-inch flexible OLED. This means that users will no be needing a 7.3-inch foldable display all the time. The 4.6-inch display will "solve the drawbacks of the in-folding method." Notably, Samsung has also codenamed this foldable phone project as 'Winner'.

VU Launched the vu100 - its largest consumer television panel - in India. As the name suggests it boasts a 100-inch display that has a 4K resolution and supports HDR. Other major highlight for the Vu 100 is its built-in sound bar that comes with JBL speakers and woofer built-in with Dolby Audio and DTS support. The TV has been priced at Rs. 20 lakhs and is available now at Vu flagship stores.

The 100 inch display comprises of an IPS panel with a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels. It’s capable of displaying 2.5 billion colours and supports HDR10, and WCG (Wide Colour Gamut). Other features include dynamic contrast, local dimming, ultra smooth motion control, and MPEG noise reduction.

Android 8.0 Oreo, and is powered by a quad-core CPU coupled with 2.5GB of RAM. It bears 16GB of inbuilt storage for apps, games and media. Popular media apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Hotstar come pre-installed, and it comes with Google Play Store for additional apps

Playing 4k media via USB as well with support for popular formats including MPEG, H.264, and H.265 codecs. It supports wireless connectivity via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and can also be used as a hub to voice control compatible smart home devices, and there’s also built-in Chromecast for media streaming. Other connectivity options include three HDMI 2.0 ports and two USB 3.0 ports....

Sony launches SRS-XB501G and SRS-XB01 wireless speakers


At the ongoiology tradeshow in Berlin IFA 2018, Japanese consumer electronic giant Sony has launched two wireless speakers -- SRS-XB501G Extra Bass Bluetooth Speaker and the SRS-XB01 portable Bluetooth Speaker.ng Techng.

The price $299.99 (approximately Rs 2,500) the Sony SRS-XB501G Extra Bass Bluetooth Speaker will be available starting October


The bluetooth speaker from Sony features 2.1 channel speaker and a 4.93-inch sub woofer. It has a claimed battery life of 16 hours and is IP65 rated meaning that it is both water resistant and dust proof. It comes with line lighting effects and offers Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz), and built-in Google Assistant support as connectivity options.

The speaker comes  with a Live Sound mode that is claimed to allow users to experience immersive sound experience. With angled speakers and digital signal processing technology it is said to create an expanded service area, creating a three-dimensional sound experience.

The latest revelation comes amid the testing of a shopping feature on Instagram Stories that is aimed to expand shopping on the photo-sharing platform. Shopping is indeed one of the key focus areas for the platform that has over a billion users worldwide.


More than 25 million businesses are already on the platform, and two million of them are even its advertisers. All these figures already pushed the team led by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger to start offering an intrinsic shopping feature through Instagram Stories that was launched in June. Brands such as Adidas, Aritzia, and Louis Vuitton are among the key partners for the shopping feature, though it is expected to roll out to regular users soon

Samsung Said to Launch Smartphone With 4 Rear Cameras in 2018

Samsung Is Reportedly  working on a smartphone with four cameras that it plans to launch this year. The South Korean giant recently announced that it may unveil the world's first foldable smartphone in 2018, and now a new report has suggested that a handset with a four-camera setup could be in the works too. Interestingly, the new smartphone from Samsung will not be called the Galaxy S10 or Galaxy F.

Samsung Launch New Smart phone later this year and it will come with a four rear camera setup on one side. The first cryptic tweet by the tipster did not reveal much, but hinted at the presence of four cameras on a Samsung smartphone. However, in the same Twitter thread, the tipster shed more light on the upcoming smartphone



Camera meant t  cameras on each side, Ice Universe responded by tweeting that all the cameras will be at the back. The tipster also noted that the handset won't be called Galaxy S10 or Galaxy F. The tipster, however, did not mention the name of the smartphone. Some users also asked if the Samsung handset will launch next year or 2020.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Flame Red Colour Variant India Launch Expected on Tuesday

Xiaomi india has  hinted at a new Red-coloured Redmi smartphone model that may arrive in the country on Tuesday. The Chinese manufacturer is celebrating the fifth anniversary of its Redmi series. On that occasion last month, the company's Global VP and India Head Manu Kumar Jain had shared an image that suggested that a new Red-colour model is in the works. To recall, Xiaomi had launched the Redmi Note 5 Flame Red edition in China earlier in June. In India, the China Redmi Note 5 model is available as the Redmi Note 5 Pro, meaning this is the smartphone that may arrive in the new colour model.

Xiaomi redmi note 5 pro currently sells in India in Black, Blue, Gold, and Rose Gold variants. The Flame Red model that was available in the Redmi Note 5 in China in June, was not rolled out it India. 

Price starting at Rs. 13,999. However, the price was later raised to Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB RAM, 64GB storage variant, and went up to Rs. 16,999 for the 6GB RAM, 64GB storage variant.

Android naught based  MIUI 9. It sports a 5.99-inch full-HD+ (1080x2160 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 636 processor, coupled with Adreno 509 GPU and up to 6GB of RAM. At the front, the Redmi Note 5 Pro features a 20-megapixel camera sensor with a selfie LED flash. The Redmi Note 5 Pro is equipped with 64GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card in a hybrid dual-SIM format. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is fueled by a 4000mAh battery and measures 158.6x75.4x8.05mm.

LG's big 'bot plan: to create a network of working robots with 'wearable' SuitBot

Amongst the 8k  TVs and new smartphone announcements at IFA 2018, LG has been setting its sights on being the first company to create a robot network to future-proof the world of work.
We got to seea working prototype of its latest robotics project, the CLOi SuitBot, at IFA 2018. It's the latest example of how LG has been putting its robotics investments and AI technology to good use, as well as the company's first foray into the world of human-centric robotics.






The ambitios wearable CLOi SuitBot may look like it could turn anyone into RoboCop, but its primary application for now is to enhance a user's leg movements. 

Its essentially  a pair of wearable, robotic pants designed to supercharge your legs and an example of exoskeleton robotics.

Samsung Galaxy J4 Prime, Galaxy J6 Prime Budget Phones Spotted on Official Vietnam Site






















Samsung Galaxy J4 Prime  and Galaxy J6 Prime are all set to be the South Korean manufacturer's upcoming smartphones, if support pages on the company's Vietnamese portal are to be believed. Two new smartphones with model numbers SM-J415F/DS and SM-J610F/DS have been spotted on the website, which point towards the impending launch of the Galaxy J4 Prime and Galaxy J6 Prime. These two smartphones are expected to be from the budget segment, and sit alongside the recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J6.

Samsung Galaxy J4 sports a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) Super AMOLED panel with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a quad-core Samsung Exynos 7570 SoC, paired with 2GB/ 3GB of RAM and 16GB/ 32GB of onboard storage. The phone sports a 13-megapixel camera sensor on the back and a 5-megapixel sensor on the front. There is a 3,000mAh battery under the hood, with a claimed battery life of up to 20 hours.


Galaxy J6 sports a 5.6 Inch Super AMOLED panel with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio and Infinity Display design. The phone is powered by an Exynos 7870 SoC, coupled with 3GB/ 4GB of RAM and 32GB/ 64GB of inbuilt storage. Storage is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). As for optics, the handset has a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor and an 8-megapixel selfie sensor.

Redmi 6 Series Expected as Xiaomi Sends September 5 India Launch

Redmi 6,Redmi 6Pro and Redmi 6A India launch event may be held as early as next week. Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi Global VP and Xiaomi India Managing Director, has shared a tweet that hinted at the imminent launch of the Redmi 6-Series smartphones.

Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A, however, will differ from their China variants in one respect at least - the two smartphones will feature Qualcomm processors instead of the MediaTek SoCs they have in their home market. The Redmi 5 and Redmi 5A, the predecessors of the smartphones, were both very popular models in India. A separate invite was also shared, confirming the September 5 launch date.

The Redmi  6 price in China is set at CNY 799 (roughly Rs. 8,400) for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB inbuilt storage variant, and CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 10,500) for the model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage,

 is set at CNY 599 (roughly Rs. 6,300) for the lone 2GB RAM/ 16GB inbuilt storage variant. And finally, the Redmi 6 Pro price is set at CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 10,400) for the 3GB RAM, 32GB storage variant, CNY 1,199 (roughly Rs. 12,500) for the 4GB RAM, 32GB storage variant, and CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs. 13,600) for the 4GB, 64GB variant.

 The Redmi 6a is Android 8.1 Oreo. It sports a 5.45-inch HD+ (720x1440 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio; an octa-core 12nm MediaTek Helio P22 SoC (clocked at 2GHz); a dual camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor, a 5-megapixel front camera, a 3,000mAh battery, as well as expandable storage via microSD card (up to 256GB) with dedicated slot.
Redmi 6 Pro is  is a dual-SIM smartphone that runs MIUI 9 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It sports a a 5.84-inch full-HD+ (1080x2280 pixels) display; an octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC clocked up to 2GHz; a dual rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor; a 5-megapixel front camera; expandable storage via microSD card (up to 256GB) with a dedicated slot, and a 4000mAh battery.






















Huawei Mate 20 Lite With 4 Cameras Launched at IFA 2018, AI Cube Smart Speaker Unveiled Too

Chinese Telecommunication giant Huawei unveiled the Mate 20 Lite smartphone and a new smart speaker cum Internet router, dubbed the AI Cube, at IFA 2018 in Berlin. The flagship Kirin 980 SoC was also launched at the trade show. Successor to last year's Huawei Mate 10 Lite, the Mate 20 Lite comes with features including the latest HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC, a 19.5:9 display with a notch, dual cameras on both front and back, and certain AI capabilities. On the other hand, the AI Cube features Amazon's Alexa virtual assistant and can also act as a router if the need arises. At the IFA 2018 event, Huawei also unveiled the Huawei Locator, a compact GPS tracker with long operational and standby times.

Huawei Mate 20 Lite price has been set at GBP 379 (roughly Rs. 34,800) across Carphone Warehouse and Vodafone retail stores in the US starting September 5, in Black, Platinum Red, and Sapphire Blue colour options. It will also be available at EE stores starting October.

Android 8.1 Oreo, and sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) TFT LCD panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 409ppi. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC, coupled with a Mali-G51 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of onboard storage. Storage is expandable via microSD card (up to 512GB). It will come in both single- and dual-SIM variants, depending on the market.

Camera setup with a 20-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, coupled with f/1.8 aperture and PDAF support. On the front, the handset sports another dual camera setup with a 24-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary lens, paired with f/2.0 aperture and fixed focus. There is a 3,750mAh battery under the hood, with support for 9V/2A (18W) charging capabilities.

4G LTE dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2 LE, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors onboard the handset include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, electronic compass, gyroscope, fingerprint sensor, and proximity sensor. The smartphone measures 158.3x75.3x7.6mm and weighs about 172 grams.
