Windows 10 October 2018 Update Announced by Microsoft at IFA

Microsoft at IFA 2018 announced the name of the upcoming Windows 10 update, internally known as Redstone 5. The Redmond, Washington-headquartered company Microsoft said that the next feature update to Windows will be called the Windows 10 October 2018 Update.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX99, Cyber-shot DSC-HX95 Ultra-Compact High Zoom Cameras Launched at IFA 2018

Sony at its berlin event ahead of IFA 2018 on Thursday announced a slew of new products, including two new cameras in its Cyber-shot series. The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX99 and Cyber-shot DSC-HX95 are a pair of portable high zoom cameras that come with Bluetooth support for better connectivity.
The duo will  be made available in Europe from October this year, and Sony touts them to be the world's smallest travel high zoom cameras with 4K recording capabilities. Sony also announced the new flagship Xperia XZ3, and a slew of headphones and TV products in Berlin.
The Cyber short Dsc -HX99 and Cyber-shot DSC-HX95 offer a zoom range from 24mm at the wide end up to 720mm super-telephoto with the help of the Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T High Magnification Zoom lens. They supports image stabilisation with the help of optical SteadyShot, and is also equipped with a Zoom Assist function that allows the user to zoom out temporarily and displays a wider area when shooting a subject at the telephoto end


Offer n option  called Control Ring to customise functions such as manual focus or step zooming. The Cyber-shot DSC-HX99 and Cyber-shot DSC-HX95 also offers My Menu personalisation for recall of up to 30 items and the ability to create custom menus. The LCD screen on both the cameras can tilt up to 180 degrees allowing you to compose selfies properly.

Samsung, LG Showcase New 8K OLED TVs at IFA 2018

At their events ahead of IFA 2018Samsung and LG both showcased their 8K TV offerings, previewing what the future of entertainment looks like. Samsung introduced the Q900R QLED 8K TV and LG unveiled the 88-inch 8K OLED TV in Berlin. The Samsung model will be made available in several screen sizes, and will be available in stores by the end of September. Availability of the LG 8K OLED TV variant has still not been disclosed, and neither has the price for both the TV units.

Starting with the Samsung  8K QLED TV, the Q900R comes in four screen sizes - 65inch, 75-inch, 82-inch, and 85-inch. It will feature 8K-ready enhancements, including 8K resolution panel capable of 4,000-nit peak brightness, Quad-HDR 8K support, and 8K quantum processor. The 8K resolution allows the TV to produce four times more pixels than a 4K UHD TV and 16 times more pixels than a full HD TV..The 88inch 8K LG OLED TV comes with 7380x4320 resolution, with the company touting 33-million self-emitting pixels that produce a good quality contrast ratio and true blacks. The TV is up for display at IFA in Berlin, and as mentioned, pricing and availability is not yet announced.

Bose Home Speaker 500, Soundbar 500, 700 With Alexa Voice Control Launched; AirPlay Support to Come in 2019

Bose has launched a new wireless smart speaker - Home Speaker 500 - and two new smart soundbars - Soundbar 500 and Soundbar 700 - to take on rivals like Apple and Sonos. Known for its products in the traditional speaker market, Bose is clearly jumping on the connected smart speaker bandwagon with Amazon Alexa voice assistant fully integrated into the new products. The company says that Alexa support will be available from the beginning. However, support for other voice assistants such as the Google Assistant will follow soon.

The new bose  Home Speaker 500, Soundbar 500, and Soundbar 700 use the company's mic technology that is present in its headsets and headphones. Bose says it helps the devices to hear commands better over louder listening levels.
The sound bar measures 1.75x4x31-inch and features a subtle matte finish. Both the new soundbars use the company's ADAPTiQ technology that helps the devices to "acoustically adjust to their surroundings", and HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) for compatibility with future technology. Also, they can be wall-mounted or expanded with a wireless bass module and rear speakers "for a full 5.1 experience.
Boss hs informed that the new smart speaker and soundbars will be available beginning this October. They will be sold via Bose retail stores, Bose's official site, and via authorised Bose dealers. The price of the Home Speaker 500 has been set at $399.95 (roughly Rs. 28,100). Meanwhile, the Soundbar 500 and Soundbar 700 cost $549.95 (roughly Rs. 38,700) and $799.95 (roughly Rs. 56,300) respectively.

Samsung has Launched a new portable X-series NVMe-based SSD featuring Thunderbolt 3 connectivity. Said to be the company's first NVMe-based portable solid state drive (SSD), the Samsung Portable SSD X5 is aimed at content creators and IT professionals. The Portable SSD X5 comes in 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB variants. Thanks to Thunderbolt 3 connectivity and NVMe interface, the Portable SSD X5 is able to transfer a 20GB-sized 4K UHD video in just 12 seconds, Samsung claims.
The 500GB base model  of the Samsung Portable SSD X5 has been priced at $399.99 (roughly Rs. 28,200), while the 1TB variant will come for $699.99 (roughly Rs. 49,400), and the premium 2TB model will cost $1,399.99 (roughly Rs. 98,700). Notably, the Portable SSD X5 comes with a three-year limited warranty and will be available globally from September 3, 2018.

Yu Ace India Launch Set for August 30, Long Battery Life Teased

After teasing the arrival of a new smartphone in its Yu sub-brand, Micromax has now announced that the new smartphone is set to arrive on August 30. In its latest teaser poster, the company has also confirmed that the new Yu device will have a longer battery life. Apart from this, there is little else that we know about the smartphone, but all details will be revealed in a few days. 
The smart phone  will be called the Yu Ace - something hinted at with the first teaser last week.

The Yu -sub brand was launched in 2014, and the first smartphone to arrive in the market under this branding was the Yu Yureka. As mentioned, the last device to launch in this sub-brand was the Yu Yureka 2, priced at Rs. 11,999. Launched in September last year, it was made exclusively available on Flipkart

Microsoft has officialey announced Xbox All Access. It's a program that offers an Xbox One X, Xbox Live, and Xbox Game Pass for $35 a month (around Rs. 2,450). Right now, it's exclusive to the US. For $22 (roughly Rs. 1,540) users get an Xbox One S, Xbox Live, and Xbox Game Pass. 
Thats more than 100 all-you-can-play games — including highly-anticipated new Xbox One exclusives the day they’re released, plus more games added all the time on the fastest, most reliable gaming network and an Xbox One console.

We wont be urprised to see specific games being unavailable on Xbox All Access going forward for business reasons like this. That being said, for countries like India, where the Xbox One doesn't have a great market presence compared to Sony's PS4, it could be a game changer.

Samsung Galaxy j5is the latest smartphone in the South Korean giant's portfolio that is receiving the Android 8.1 Oreo update. Honor 8X, Honor 8X Max Launch Set for September 5

Honour 8X Linup  after days of teasers and hints, is officially set to launch in China on September 5. The Huawei-owned brand has given its official word on the launch event that will witness the launch of two variants of the handset - Honor 8X and Honor 8X Max.
The smart phones are expected to come with a 'waterdrop' display notch, and the key features are expected to be dual rear cameras, bigger batteries, and and large displays. The Honor 8X series is expected to be a successor to the Honor 7X that was launched in October last year.

Specification
The Honour 8x will run Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. It will sport a 7.12-inch full-HD+ (1080x2244 pixels) TFT display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, there is an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). The SoC is expected to be the latest Kirin 710 processor or one of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 636 or Snapdragon 660 SoCs.

The smartphone will have  an 8-megapixel camera at the front. In terms of connectivity, it will include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB. Sensors onboard the smartphone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, fingerprint sensor, and proximity sensor. Also, it will be fueled by a 4,900mAh battery. In terms of dimensions, the Honor 8X will measure 177.57x86.24x8.13mm and weigh 210 grams

DJI Mavic 2 Pro, Mavic 2 Zoom Portable Drones Launched

Expandic its mavics drone series, DJI has launched two new drones - Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom. The DJI Mavic 2 Pro is priced at $1,449 (roughly Rs. 1,01,600), and Mac 2 Zoom is priced at $1,249 (roughly Rs. 87,600), and are available for purchase on the DJI Store. Key highlight of the Pro variant is its Hasselblad L1D-20c camera that sports a 20-megapixel sensor and a 10-bit HDR video capture. tHE Key highlight of the Mavic 2 Zoom, as the name suggests, is support for 2x optical zoom.

Xiaomi Mi Notebook With Up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7 Processor, 8GB RAM Launched

Vivo has realesed the first set of teasers for the Vivo 11 Prothat is scheduled to launch in India next month. The Chinese manufacturer is set to unveil two new smartphones,Now the company has started to release some teasers ahead of the launch. The latest set of Vivo V11 Pro teasers reveal that the smartphone will be equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor, a dual camera setup at the back, and a FullView display. Separately, it has also been listed on Amazon.in, revealing the launch will be held at 12pm IST.In terms of specification it has been rumoured that the Vivo V11 Pro could come with Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. It is said to sport a 6.41-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is reported to be equipped with 128GB of inbuilt storage and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Watch LTE model's price is set at $379.99 (roughly Rs. 26,500) for the 42mm variant, while the 46mm variant costs $399.99 (roughly Rs. 27,900). Both the models will start shipping from September 2. The delivery is free and those who pre-order, will receive a free additional band for their wearable. 2018 iPhone Lineup Said to Go on Pre-Orders From September 14

While the  2018 iPhone lineup is yet to receive a formal confirmationApple is now rumoured to start taking pre-orders for the next generation iPhone family on as early as September 14. This suggests that the 2018 iPhone models could debut sometime before September 14.

A seperate Report  says that one of the 2018 iPhone models will include an upgraded wireless charging coil to offer faster wireless charging at as high as 15W. Some previous reports already suggested that the new models will come with faster wired charging support as well and include an 18W USB-C power adapter.

This suggests that Apple could launch the iPhone X successor as well as the iPhone X Plus and the affordable LCD iPhone model sometime in the second week of September - in line with the previous iPhone launches.

The 2018 Iphone Family family is also rumoured to come with a faster wired charging experience through the bundled 18W USB-C adapter. The new adapter could have sufficient hardware to charge the iPhone from 0 to 50 percent in about 30 minutes. This sounds similar to the fast charging technologies offered on many Android devices.
